Lighting school...

My good friend Joachim Guanzong who I played with in the Jazz and Pep Band at BYU Hawaii lives out here in Utah. He works out at Xango doing web design and stuff but on the side the guy is an aspiring professional photographer. He has a lot of experience and this past Saturday we hooked up for me to learn some things and to get Jo in front of the camera... again. I hope you guys never get sick of seeing her. :-)

Anyway we were using some flashes from www.alienbees.com

Here are some of the results. Thanks for sharing the knowledge Jowchie! Here is a shot of him...

The set up...

Here is the lighting set up that we used most of the time.
And the rest are of Jo :-)

It was awesome to see how this stuff works. I know I have a far way to go but hopefully I'll have a studio like this up and running soon.

Thats cool man. I seen them on your flickr. I hate it when flickr blocks images. Anyways, great shots and worth a trip to your flickr.

flickr was only blocking them because I changed the permissions on them :-)
